Congratulations on your new job! Where are you working?

Thanks! I just started at Neugelb Studios here in Berlin. I’m on a trial to begin with but if all goes well then I hope it turns into a permanent position.

What were you doing before signing up for our course?

After working for a year as an X-Ray technician, I decided to travel through Australia and Southeast Asia. When I got back after my “sabbatical” leave, I discovered that coding was a topic that really intrigued me and I saw that profiles such as front-end and full-stack developers were in very high demand. So I started looking for a course and found Ubiqum.

What was your main concern before starting?

I knew that I would have to work hard and it wouldn’t necessarily be easy to get a job afterwards. My main concern was that, due to high standards, strict requirements, and the fact that I lacked a computer science degree or similar, I would find it very difficult to get hired.

Why did Ubiqum stand out as the best choice?

I liked the philosophy of the academy and the fact that you can do the Java Web Developer course without any prior experience.

How helpful did you find the Career Placement service?

The Career Placement service was one of the highlights of the course, because in spite of the fact that I didn’t think I would get much out of it, I learned a few things and received some tips that have been very useful when searching for a job.
