"One of the best things about the course is the fact that you’re constantly putting into practice everything that you learn."

What were you doing before signing up for our course?

I studied law, however, I didn’t end up liking it all that much. I saw that my level of motivation was much greater in certain subjects, for example, information and communication, and I’d always swayed slightly towards technology. So, when I finished my degree, I decided to look for other options. I knew that if I were to study another university degree that this would be very time consuming. What Ubiqum offered was a way of getting good results in a short amount of time. What also appealed was the fact that it provided highly practical training as opposed to theory-based courses. Really, it offered everything.

When assessing the pros and cons of each of the courses, the Java Web Developer course and the Data Analytics course, I ended up choosing data analysis because I liked the fact that this is a very emergent field of study that is yet to be really well defined. Because of this, there aren't as many people studying data analysis as web development, and therefore there is less competition.

What was your main concern before starting?

I had many. But after speaking to Sebastián, Ubiqum’s founder, I was reassured of the benefits the course offered as he explained the types of positions one could work in upon completion.

Why did Ubiqum stand out as the best choice?

To start with, Ubiqum Code Academy is one of the few places in Spain that offers training in data analytics. Furthermore, the course is highly practical, which helps tremendously. I liked the fact that people are required to have a degree in order to attend the course as this way everyone has a certain level of life experience. I loved that it was in English as nowadays everything in terms of business and technology is in English.

Do you think our "Learn by Doing" methodology has been effective?

It takes some getting used to, but once you do, your level of motivation goes right up as you see things coming together. I think it’s one of the best things about the course; the fact that you’re constantly putting into practice everything that you learn.

Would you recommend Ubiqum and if so, why?

Totally. I’d recommend Ubiqum, and specifically the data course, for the methodology and the learning environment. Being part of a group means that everyone shares their knowledge with one another. What you can learn by studying onsite is so much greater than what you would online for that very reason. At Ubiqum they don’t only train you, they also assist you with the job search and have a team dedicated to that, which helps enormously.
